Basketball Recap: Edniya White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead University over Dresden

University has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 26.62 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 75-49 to the Dresden Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since December 28, 2023.

University lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Edniya White, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 18 points along with five assists and five steals. The match was White's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalina Lambert, who went 6 for 9 en route to 16 points.

University's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Dresden, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-36 victory against Lake County on the 28th. As for Dresden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 77-25 defeat against Dyersburg on the 28th.
