Meanwhile, Trinity Lutheran got the win against Clarksville on Thursday by a conclusive 16-6.

The team relied heavily on Nathan Finke, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Brooks, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Trinity Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rising Sun pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Rising Sun came up short against Trinity Lutheran when the teams last played back in April, falling 7-3. Can the Shiners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
