Basketball Game Preview: Battle Ground Academy Wildcats vs. Goodpasture Christian Cougars

Battle Ground Academy is 0-5 against Goodpasture Christian since November of 2016 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Battle Ground Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ezell-Harding Christian by a score of 73-65.

Meanwhile, Goodpasture Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Columbia Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 85-69. The Cougars are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 23 straight.

Goodpasture Christian pushed their record up to 28-1 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Battle Ground Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.
