After having lost a blowout in their previous game against William Penn, Reading was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Antietam Mountaineers with a sharp 22-7 victory. The Red KNights haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Kellyn Paulino was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Paulino is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Janaya Lugo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Reading always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory got Reading back to even at 2-2. As for Antietam, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
