Baseball Recap: Goldthwaite Comes Up Short

Goldthwaite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coleman Bluecats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluecats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 last Monday.

Goldthwaite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wetzig, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Goldthwaite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coleman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Goldthwaite wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against Moody on the 27th. As for Coleman, they have also already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Anson on the 25th.
