Baseball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Yorkville Foxes

The Minooka Indians will square off against the Yorkville Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

Minooka's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Oswego East.

Meanwhile, Yorkville got the win against Glenbrook North on Saturday by a conclusive 9-0. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Yorkville pushed their record up to 10-7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Minooka, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.

Minooka beat Yorkville 7-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Foxes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
