Baseball Recap: Buena Victorious

Buena's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fillmore Flashes, sneaking past 8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Noah Haros looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Mason Trigo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kaelan Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Buena's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Fillmore, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Buena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-4 loss against Camarillo on the 27th. As for Fillmore, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-5 defeat against Channel Islands on the 26th.
