Baseball Game Preview: Del Campo Cougars vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

The Del Campo Cougars will square off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Del Campo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Del Campo's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past River Valley 12-0. The contest marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season.

Brody Bieneman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Del Campo is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 10-12 otherwise. Bieneman was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Del Campo got a massive performance out of Alex Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Young has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 10-11-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramiro Pereda, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Del Campo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Twelve Bridges, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Roseville on Friday.

Del Campo's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-12-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Twelve Bridges, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
