Football Game Preview: Moses Lake Mavericks vs. Issaquah Eagles

The Moses Lake Mavericks will be playing at home against the Issaquah Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moses Lake will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Moses Lake was fully in charge, breezing past Davis 62-18. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Pirates are ranked 168th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brady Jay continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 460 yards and nine touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 44 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. Grant Smith was in the mix as well, providing Moses Lake with two scores.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Issaquah took on Juanita on Friday. The Eagles took their game with ease, bagging a 47-6 victory over the Ravens. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Moses Lake better keep an eye on Angelo Masciocchi. He was instrumental in Issaquah's win, rushing for 99 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Issaquah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 229 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juanita only rushed for -6.

Moses Lake's record is now 9-0. As for Issaquah, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
