Preview: Farmville Central Jaguars vs. Greene Central Rams

Farmville Central is 9-1 against Greene Central since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Farmville Central Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Greene Central Rams at 6:00 p.m.

Farmville Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 60-35 loss at the hands of West Craven. Farmville Central has not had much luck with West Craven recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite their loss, Farmville Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaydien Joyner, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Nakevia Phillips was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Greene Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Washington with a sharp 69-45 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Greene Central.

Greene Central can attribute much of their success to Arlisha Mason, who scored 15 points, and An'nysha Wooten, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamille Bethea, who scored eight points.

Farmville Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Greene Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Farmville Central haven't given up the ball easily this season, having only averaged 6.5 turnovers per game. It's a different story for Greene Central, though, as they've been averaging 23.3 turnovers per game. Given Farmville Central's sizable advantage in that area, Greene Central will need to find a way to close that gap.

Farmville Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Greene Central when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 41-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Farmville Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
