Volleyball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Sylvan-Lucas won the last time they faced Stockton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sylvan-Lucas was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Harlee Nelson paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up five kills. Nelson got some help from Lily Pancost and her six assists. Jayden Meitler and Lauren Brokes kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Sylvan-Lucas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Stockton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sylvan-Lucas and Stockton will both be playing St. John's/Tipton Catholic the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Blujays at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
