Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Triumphs

Bishop Moore had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Pine Ridge Panthers on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Bishop Moore got a great performance from Drew Kunz as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Kunz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kai Lwin, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Kane, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Bishop Moore hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Ridge struck out 11 times.

Bishop Moore's record is now 19-7. As for Pine Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9-2 record this season.

Bishop Moore has already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against Mount Dora on the 16th. Pine Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
