The Linfield Christian Lions will challenge the Arrowhead Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Linfield Christian managed to slip by Ontario Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Linfield Christian came up short against Ontario Christian on Tuesday, falling 11-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Summit on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Brayden Bennett was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Linfield Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2-1. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
