Basketball Game Preview: Marinette Marines vs. Wrightstown Tigers

The Marinette Marines are taking a road trip to take on the Wrightstown Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marinette will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

On Friday, Marinette blew past Little Chute, posting a 69-17 victory. The Marines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wrightstown, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They managed a 49-45 win over Fox Valley Lutheran back in January. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Foxes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Marinette's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points over those games. As for Wrightstown, their record now sits at 4-5.

Marinette didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wrightstown in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marinette since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
