Soccer Game Preview: Mitchell vs. Austin

The Mitchell Bluejackets will head out on the road to challenge the Austin Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Austin has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Austin will have to contend with a Mitchell squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since September 25. Mitchell fell just short of Bloomfield by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Mitchell couldn't quite close it out.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Austin came up short against Lanesville, falling 6-1. Austin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Mitchell has now lost 11 of their last 14 games at home. That leaves them at an 0-6-1 record this season. As for Austin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 games, dating back to last year. That leaves them at an 0-5 record this season.
