Basketball Recap: Buckeye Local Comes Up Short

Buckeye Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Beaver Local Beavers, falling 83-47. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 805th, while the Beavers are ranked 213th).

Buckeye Local's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Beaver Local, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Buckeye Local Panthers take on the Edison Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver Local has already played their next contest (against Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
