Basketball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the MacArthur Generals didn't have quite enough to beat the Alton Redbirds and fell 56-54.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Alton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, MacArthur will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Zion at 7:00 p.m. As for Alton, they will head out to square off against Metro-East Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Alton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
