Softball Game Preview: Perry Central Commodores vs. Mitchell Bluejackets

The Perry Central Commodores will square off against the Mitchell Bluejackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Perry Central didn't have quite enough to beat Wood Memorial and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to West Washington. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bluejackets have suffered since April 11th.

Mitchell's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-9. As for Perry Central, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Perry Central got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Mitchell by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Commodores repeat their success, or do the Bluejackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
