Volleyball Recap: Southwestern Randolph's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southwestern Randolph entered their tilt with Northwood on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cougars were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Chargers, so the Cougars were just returning the favor.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Southwestern Randolph took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-13.

Cheyenne Dixon paced Southwestern Randolph's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dixon got some help from Hailey Kennedy and her 23 assists. Madilyn Baker controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Southwestern Randolph now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Northwood, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Southwestern Randolph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jordan-Matthews on the 22nd. As for Northwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 23rd.
