Volleyball Recap: Chapman Beats Clifton-Clyde for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Chapman had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Chapman who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 20-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Clifton-Clyde saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Scout Skocny had 17 digs and one assist.

Chapman's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Clifton-Clyde, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coming up, Chapman will challenge Phillipsburg on Thursday. As for Clifton-Clyde, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Republic County on the 20th.
