It was a good run, but Plainfield North unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Yorkville Foxes, falling 13-3. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Foxes earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Yorkville, they now have a winning record of 16-15-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainfield North will challenge Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Ironmen will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yorkville, they will face off against McHenry at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Foxes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
