Basketball Recap: Brimfield Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Brimfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past the Biggsville West Central Heat with a 57-53 win. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Heat, too.

Despite the loss, Biggsville West Central had strong showings from Harlee Hainds, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Addie Seitz, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. Those 24 points gave Seitz a new career-high.

Brimfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Biggsville West Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16.

Brimfield will head out on the road to square off against Elmwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elmwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Brimfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Biggsville West Central, they will host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
