Baseball Recap: Marshall Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Marshall barely beat Waseca the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Bluejays get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Saturday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Marshall's third in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Waseca, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will host Willmar at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waseca, they will welcome Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
