Softball Recap: Whetstone Falls Short of Big Walnut in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whetstone can now relate to. They came up short against the Big Walnut Golden Eagles on Wednesday, falling 15-4. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Whetstone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Bair, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Whetstone's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Big Walnut, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12.

Whetstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Big Walnut, they will square off against Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
