Soccer Recap: Lincolnton Takes a Loss

Lincolnton fell victim to Lake Norman and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Lincolnton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Lake Norman are ranked 12th).

Lincolnton now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Lake Norman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-2.

Lincolnton has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Highland Tech on the 17th. As for Lake Norman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against South Iredell on the 16th.
