Basketball Recap: Sanderson Drops Season-High Score on Dell City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sanderson). They were the clear victor by a 55-35 margin over the Dell City Cougars on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since November 28, 2023.

Despite the loss, Dell City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaac Estrada posted 15 points. Estrada is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Zach Mendoza was another key player, putting up six points.

The win made it two in a row for Sanderson and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Dell City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Sanderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-39 loss against Immanuel Christian on the 13th. Dell City has also already played their next game, a 42-26 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 14th.
