Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Pisgah Eagles

The Cedar Bluff Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Pisgah Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cedar Bluff and seven for Pisgah.

Things were looking good for Cedar Bluff after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Pleasant Valley by a score of 15-13.

Samson Mallett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Isaac Bishop, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Pisgah came up short against Pennington on Thursday, falling 14-3.

Pisgah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Smalley, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Cedar Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 18-10-1. As for Pisgah, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
