Basketball Recap: Newell-Fonda Comes Up Short

Newell-Fonda was the 84-52 winner over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Newell-Fonda Mustangs lost 75-53 to the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals on Tuesday.

Newell-Fonda's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

As of now, neither Newell-Fonda nor Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union have any future games scheduled.
