Baseball Recap: Merritt Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Merritt hadn't done well against Cordell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Oilers blew past the Blue Devils 15-3. The Oilers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th.

Merritt's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7-1. As for Cordell, their loss was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merritt will head out to face off against Blair at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cordell, they will venture away from home to challenge Burns Flat-Dill City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
