Volleyball Recap: Tokay Takes a Loss

Tokay came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bear Creek Bruins, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Tokay was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-23, 25-18.

Ralph Doria paced Tokay's offense, picking up 13 kills. Doria got some help from Rian Dimalanta and his 18 assists.

Tokay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Bear Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Tokay has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against McNair on the 21st. As for Bear Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Weston Ranch on the 21st.
