Football Recap: Cozad Falls to Sidney in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Cozad unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Sidney Red Raiders on Friday. The Haymakers lost against the Red Raiders in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-13 score last time.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cozad will host Central City on Friday. As for Sidney, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Minden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
