Fairfax is 8-2 against Carl Hayden Community since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stampede will welcome the Falcons at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairfax has six straight wins, Carl Hayden Community has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Fairfax's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Central as they made off with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Stampede, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Isaiah Balderas was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexander Tovar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Fairfax is undefeated when Tovar posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Nathaniel Pineda was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Fairfax was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Carl Hayden Community came up short against Glendale last Friday and fell 7-2.
Fairfax pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Carl Hayden Community, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fairfax has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Carl Hayden Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Fairfax took their win against Carl Hayden Community when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Stampede repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
