Basketball Recap: Dream City Christian National Snaps 20-Game Streak of Wins at Home

On Monday, Dream City Christian National faced Imagine Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dream City Christian National were outmatched by the Imagine Prep Storm and fell 73-41. The loss continues a trend for Dream City Christian National in their matchups with Imagine Prep: they've now lost five in a row.

Imagine Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylen Cassidy led the charge by putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Cassidy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rich Rodriguez, who went 8 for 16 en route to 17 points.

Dream City Christian National's defeat ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-8. As for Imagine Prep, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Dream City Christian National wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-29 win against Glenview College Prep on the 28th. Imagine Prep has also already played their next contest, a 73-41 victory against Dream City Christian on the 27th.
