Basketball Recap: Freeman Beats Sterling for Their Ninth Straight Win

Freeman waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They claimed a resounding 69-32 victory over the Sterling Jets. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Several Jets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kade Horstman, who posted nine points. What's more, Horstman also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Dane Vollman was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.

Freeman's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.8 points. As for Sterling, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Freeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sterling, they will challenge Dorchester at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sterling is facing Dorchester at the right time seeing as Dorchester is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
