Basketball Recap: Rapides Falls Despite Big Games from Zayveian Johnson and Jayden Wilson

Rapides played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 68-47 to the Pineville Rebels. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Rapides' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Wilson, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points along with five boards and four steals, and Zayveian Johnson, who posted 19 points and six rebounds.

Rapides' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pineville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Rapides will take on Bunkie in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pineville and Winnfield will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
