Softball Recap: Mississinewa Comes Up Short

Mississinewa was the 4-1 winner over Homestead when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mississinewa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilah Greer, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Mississinewa's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Homestead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

While Mississinewa had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
