Bennett Nishikawa gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Live Oak is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

Nishikawa's effort led Live Oak over Hill and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
