Basketball Recap: Christopher Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Christopher blew Pacific Grove out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Pacific Grove got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Breakers by a score of 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since January 8th.

Pacific Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Valencia, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards. The matchup was Valencia's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sergen Serttunc, who shot 63% from the field en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Christopher's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Pacific Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
