Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Takes a Loss

Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williams Bulldogs. The Fighting Red Wolves were probably out for revenge after losing 49-36 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colby Elliot was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 31 points and nine boards for Williams. With that strong performance, Elliot is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jamarious Toney, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Williams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Cedar Ridge has already played their next game (against Person), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Williams has already played their next contest, an 82-65 defeat against Voyager Academy on the 20th.
