The Craig County Rockets will head out on the road to take on the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Craig County finally turned things around against Narrows on Tuesday. Craig County was the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over Narrows.
Meanwhile, Eastern Montgomery waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Green Waves as they made off with a 22-3 win.
Kelly Mills and Katie Salyer did most of the damage at the plate: Mills got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and a triple, while Salyer got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Macie Akers was another key contributor, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
