Volleyball Recap: Hicksville Aces vs. Lincolnview Lancers

Hicksville lost against Lincolnview back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aces came up short against the Lancers, falling 3-0. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-13.

Evy McAlexander paced Hicksville's offense, picking up six kills. McAlexander got some help from McKenna Baird and her 11 assists. Baird was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lincolnview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beth Hughes, who had seven digs and two aces. Hughes is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Aubrey Miller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hicksville's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lincolnview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
