Baseball Recap: Moberly Victorious

Moberly posted their closest victory since April 6th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Blair Oaks Falcons. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Moberly is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Blair Oaks, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-9.

Moberly has already played their next game (against Fulton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Blair Oaks, they will challenge Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
