Ridgefield is a perfect 4-0 against Bridgeport Central since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Ridgefield's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against St. Joseph last Friday. They received a blow as they fell 16-0 to the Cadets. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cadets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport Central also failed to score in their most recent game. They were outmatched by Darien and fell 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Blue Wave are ranked 13th).

Ridgefield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bridgeport Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Ridgefield against Bridgeport Central in their previous meeting back in September of 2018, as the squad secured a 51-0 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hilltoppers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
