Football Game Preview: Norwayne Bobcats vs. Dalton Bulldogs

Norwayne and Dalton are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Dalton will be up against a hot Norwayne squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Bobcats took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over Chippewa. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Chipps are ranked 668th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ryder Ingold was his usual excellent self, picking up 127 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Norwayne is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Norwayne didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Chippewa to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. The Bobcats have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Dalton got the win against Rittman on Friday by a conclusive 27-7.

Norwayne's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dalton, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.

Norwayne skirted past Dalton 17-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
