Softball Recap: Tascosa Comes Up Short

Tascosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates.

Emmi Whitehead was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Langeland, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Tascosa's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Coming up, Tascosa is taking a road trip to challenge Palo Duro at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monterey at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
