Soccer Recap: Shaler Area Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Shaler Area was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Obama Academy of International Studies last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the Mars Fightin' Planets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Shaler Area were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Mars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Shaler Area's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Mars, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-2.

Shaler Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mars, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Seneca Valley on the 16th.
