Volleyball Game Preview: Osmond Tigers vs. Boyd County Spartans

The Osmond Tigers will head out to square off against the Boyd County Spartans on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Osmond took on St. Mary's on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Tigers have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Boyd County lost 3-0 to West Holt on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Osmond will have to keep a close watch on Claire Reiman and Elena Luber, a pair of players who had a big impact on Boyd County's prior game. Reiman had 14 digs and two aces, while Luber had nine digs and one assist.

Boyd County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Osmond, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.

Osmond came out on top in a nail-biter against Boyd County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
