Ellington came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 14 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Houston Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Whippets have posted since September 20th.

Megan Copeland paced Ellington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Copeland got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 23 assists. Madelyn Cowin controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 23-3-1. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
