Softball Recap: Aledo Drops Season-High Score on Rockwall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aledo). They came out on top against the Rockwall Yellowjackets by a score of 8-4 on Friday. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Yellowjackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

The team relied heavily on KYLEIGH PAWLAK, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. JORDYN EDINGTON also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Aledo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Aledo's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rockwall, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats challenge the Lions at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Aledo's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so McKinney's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rockwall, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marcus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
