Bangor Christian took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Sumner, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since May 1, 2024.

The victory got Bangor Christian back to even at 6-6. As for Sumner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bangor Christian will host Machias at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sumner, they will welcome Searsport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
